Animal Parade 7! Camera in the same location just behind the house as Parade 6. Just more fun clips! So many bobcats pass this camera that I made a video just of them that I'll put the link to below.

Many video clips of bears, deer, fawns, coyotes, etc on the same grassy stretch in front of one of our trail cams. Some at night, some during the day. In the end, a bear knocks the camera down.

I have cute black cat with a big tail and wide white stripe that shows up on cameraevery night. Cute but stinky.
Gigi · 3 · 9h ago
Do you go on walks there? 🫣
Menestune · 3 · 8h ago
Yes. It's part of our backyard, right next to the house. I'm out there all summer long.

It is heartwarming that you appreciate these other creatures & have not tried to take their home away out of fear for your safety like most humans. It is the perfect example of how unfounded those fears are & how our responsibility is to peacefully co-exist. Bless you!
Puregoldj · 7 · 9h ago
Quite a variety there! I saw this on my after breakfast walk today.
thememo.bsky.social · 20 · 9h ago
Looks like the bear got the prize 🏆 in the end like, "found it!" 📸
figmo · 2 · 6h ago
Quite the menagerie there, Menestune!
J Booksy · 3 · 7h ago
Coyote *knows* something is off, just can't put the finger on where. Of course the bear dismantles the camera.
Missmo · 1 · 3h ago
I have always loved the bounce/hop of deer, sheep, goats. I think if we humans could do it we would be so much happier!
Menestune · 1 · 54m ago
The sound is so cool and they go so far on each bounce - it's amazing.
Ferret Slave · 2 · 8h ago
what exactly were those raccoons up to? did you censor that? where's link?
Where is this trail located! Youre so lucky! I love my local coyote pair The males a coywolf Both live in a den at our islands State park
Menestune · 4 · 8h ago
Not a trail - just a strip of grass in our yard.
Oh cool! What state?
Menestune · 3 · 7h ago
Washington, outside Seattle
Ohhh no wonder! So green verdant and lovely Lucky! I am On Carolina Beach Theres a ton of critters because half islands a state park, other military land Zero hunting

Love your videos. Thanks
margie · 0 · 7h ago
so many predator and prey on the same trail, do they ever "meet" or i guess, "meat" on camera?
Menestune · 5 · 6h ago
We see the occasional unfortunate thing. But for the most part, all the larger animals leave each other alone. The bears are almost entirely herbivores. The deer and elk are herbivores. That leaves just the coyotes and bobcats. They could take out a larger animal, but mostly just prey on small ones.
margie · 2 · 6h ago
thanks, not that i want to see gore, i just love watching nature being natural like this and learning a bit about behavior

Does each species require a reservation? Or, can they just show up at the studio?
Menestune · 2 · 7h ago
The are very much in charge and all do as they wish!
Was that a kangaroo I saw???

Ha! No. Probably the bouncing deer.

Adrienne · 16 · 9h ago
I know I've said this before but I'm gonna say it again thanks, I love these animal parade posts.
Menestune · 10 · 8h ago
Thanks! They are fun to assemble.
Fantastic video Time to put a speaker out there See if they respond Or Is that interfering with nature
Menestune · 7 · 8h ago
While I understand the desire to do that, I would not want to potentially scare them or shoo them away. There are many times I don't go out of the house when I want because I see an animal and I don't want to spook them.
Good idea
Leza_from_Philly · 3 · 6h ago
Thank you. You are a fortunate person to live with such wonderful wildlife.

Hilarious that the bear took down the camera!
Hermantics · 14 · 9h ago
I think that randy racoon is having an affair. The look on it's face says..."Uh oh. We've been caught." You certainly have a lot of very big black bears in your neighborhood!
Kathy_NJ · 8 · 9h ago
like when the two cheaters were caught at the Coldplay concert
Marie In Atlanta · 13 · 8h ago
00:19 The one raccoon looking at the camera, looked like, "HEY! I'm tryin' to get a little action here!" 😂
Kathy_NJ · 6 · 8h ago
🤣 right?
Hermantics · 4 · 9h ago
I want to catch the deer in action that keeps eating all the flowers off of my hydrangea. Last year that shrub was full of beautiful flowers...this year...it's been deadheaded. Only a few straggly branches have flowers...most have been nipped off by a nibbler. We live near the woods. Guess who!
ElleM · 1 · 17m ago
Thank you, love watching your videos! They all look so healthy. I thought coyotes only hunted at night.
Kathy_NJ · 2 · 9h ago
Raccoons caught in the act! LOL!
tree-bee · 3 · 6h ago
the 2 racoons caught… in an embrace i dont think thats his ‘wife’ and wait for the ending- diva bear really tears up the set for her deMille moment “Animal Parade 7! Camera in the same location just behind the house as Parade 6. Just more fun clips!”
I'd never accomplish anything, I'd be glued to my trail cam 24/7!
Menestune · 5 · 8h ago
Most of them don't stream live. I have to go get the SD cards and watch the videos to see what has happened. It's a fun thing to start going through them not knowing what I'll find.
Ah, thank you I have a couple of yard cams that do stream live and I watch our local critters endlessly. 😊
Cookie Riot · 3 · 7h ago
What have you seen that’s surprised you the most?
Menestune · 11 · 7h ago
Well, mountain lions didn't appear for many years and have come around this year. We also get cool, weird stuff like porcupines, beavers, stoats, turtles and lots of birds of prey.
Lots of mountain lions and bears here. Mountains and rivers, their lives are good.
Cookie Riot · 0 · 5h ago
Very cool! I suppose fires and climate change affect the animal’s movements and relocation efforts. That might account for things like mountain lions coming back/through your area.
So much fun to watch! Esp. the deer bounding away! 🥰 🦌
Menestune · 1 · 8h ago
Somewhere on my PC I have a whole montage of deer bounding. I'll have to find it to update and post.
Ooh! That’s sounds like it would be sooo much fun to watch. 😃 🦌
Mr. Andy · 3 · 9h ago
I really love this !
Thank you for sharing. I love the sounds too. It’s relaxing. Did the bear trash your camera?
Menestune · 9 · 8h ago
Believe it or not. It was okay. There are many videos of the bears smacking the cameras and they are almost always okay. It should be a commercial for the camera company.

This is amazing. My SIL has cameras all over his property. He owns a lot of woods. He showed me is phone the last time I was there. It was nighttime in the video. I said, "Wait is that a cow?" He looked at me and laughed and said, "Yes, that is a cow." It wasn't one of theirs😂🤷🏻‍♀️

DDagger2024 · 4 · 9h ago
Thanks for this!! I like the contrast of the grumpy old coyote immediately followed by the happy, hopping deer (then followed by the two raccoons TOTALLY caught in the act). 🤣
Where in the Seattle area are you located? These are marvelous. We don't get bears here in Bellevue like we used to in Woodinville.
Menestune · 3 · 7h ago
Out east in the Cascade foothills.

KUNA · 1 · 5h ago
love the bobcat video idea, what's the most surprising thing you've caught on camera so far?
Menestune · 0 · 4h ago
Mountain lions are both rare and amazing. But we've seen a millions weird things and coincidences. Along with random one-off animals like a porcupine, skunk, beaver, stoat and others.
KUNA · 0 · 3h ago
that's wild, what's the deal with porcupines showing up? are they just passing through or do they have a regular route?
Menestune · 0 · 53m ago
We've only ever seen one on the cameras, but they do live around our area, so you never know. I had no idea what it was when I first saw it on the trail cam video.
dragon7380.bsky.social · 3 · 7h ago
I am pretty sure I have seen your video's on Youtube...I love watching them, and my cat sits at the end of my bed watching them right along with me.
What camera do you use?
Menestune · 2 · 7h ago
We have many different kinds from trying them out, but Brownings are the best.
That bear did not seem to like it as much as you. 🤣 thank you for sharing these amazing clips

Incredible--thank you! I see fewer bobcats in the Sonoran Desert than I used to. And thank you, too, for not putting canned music over the video. The natural sounds are perfect.
Ferret Slave · 0 · 8h ago
they appear to follow the same path as house cats do - ever get down on the ground and see the line in the grass where they walk?
Menestune · 0 · 7h ago
I can't say that I have.

zoemom.bsky.social · 1 · 6h ago
Just how far behind your house is the camera? And is your house on stilts?
Menestune · 1 · 4h ago
No, not on stilts, just a regular foundation. The camera is about 30 or 40 feet behind the house. a little bit of a slope and shrubs in between. That grassy strip is how you get from the backyard to the front.
zoemom.bsky.social · 1 · 1h ago
