In some places you now have to prove your innocence beyond a reasonable doubt: www.newser.com/story/394200...

In CA, generally, after a dismissal or acquittal, defense counsel files a motion for a “Finding of Factual Innocence” which is a high standard to meet before a Judge will sign, and l can assist in cleaning up clients records, etc and for civil purposes. Helps civil case but is not mandatory.

Some States have no wrongful compensation statutes.

Oh, yes. They’re always gonna fight those payouts. You just have to beat their ass. I think Dave’s Hearn will. It’s often a close call civil wise because the standard for wrongful charge is pretty high. But I suspect we’d agree on most of these caseS.

Oh, yeah this is for real. Wrongful convictions are an epidemic. No doubt. Even here in CA. Sure it’s 10x worse throughout South, and many parts of midwest

This has been going on a long, long time. Seen “To Kill A Mockingbird” “In The Name Of the Father.” It happens all the time due to corrupt prosecutors, ineffective lazy defense counsel, poor judges, reckless jury’s, lying lay and expert witnesses. If you followed George Floyd case

Almost happened in opposite manner there where original County Coroner said death was from drugs to protect cop. I knew when the state took over they’d bring in a real coroner and you’d never see that original bs Autopsy again. Defense counsels matter
