One Source of Paxton’s Wealth: A Cell Tower at a Hospital He Knew Well (Gift Article) (nytimes.com)

Ken Paxton, the Texas attorney general, makes six-figure income from a cellphone tower on the grounds of a hospital where he was a board member.

Ken Paxton sat on the hospital board. Then he started pulling six-figure income from a cell tower on that same hospital’s grounds. Just another “coincidence.” It’s just one source of his wealth—helps explain how he could afford to buy 11 real estate properties. He’s corrupt as hell. 🤬

That qualifies Paxton as a perfect Republican senator.
It’s amazing how these “coincidences” keep happening to him!

There are many boards all over this country. Most run clean and people on them make no or little money. Many, are a cash grab for little or zero work.

Any hospital receiving Federal monies (ie Medicare) as most do, is required to have a robust compliance plan that would include Conflict of Interest statements signed by Board members. Wonder if anyone is looking into this aspect (likely not).

He also committed election fraud for Trump in Texas in 2020, so he's both incredibly corrupt and a traitor.

How much capital does it take to invest in a company that generates between $100,000 and $1 million every 18 months? I’d estimate it takes capital investment of $750,000 to $14 million, depending on land acquisition, location, and tower construction costs. AND where did Paxton get that money?

All Republicans today are corrupt as hell. The Republicans with integrity left voluntarily or were drummed out of the party. The party is a rancid, corrupt, cynical organized crime family now.

I know I just fell off the turnip truck but how the heck do you make that much money on a cell tower
Jukesgrrl · 3 · 3h ago
That's the question I'd like an answer to. I've never heard of individuals owning cell towers.

I believe there needs to be a well-funded, properly trained and vetted investigative body set up in the near future dedicated to uncovering this sort of corruption with a view to prosecution and recovery of ALL assets. Call them NICER: National Investigators of Corrupt Entitled Republicans.

Every carrier on a tower pays for the land lease and that shit ain't chump change. So the "board" pockets the money". That $$ should be banked for the hospital operating cost, staff, hardware, and research. THAT is what's wrong with American medicine right fucking there.

An AG on a hospital board on means one thing. Someone needed legal favors and one hand washes the other. Follow the $.
