I went looking for this picture online. It's framed better about 1 second after this shot. The woman's expression is SO PERFECT. Didn't find it last night. sigh.
I just found out about this show in the past few days and found a place to stream it online for free. Season two has an episode where a female agent takes off her shoe and jams the high heel into the bad guy's face. Very cool.
We chuckled sensibly at that scene. He dumps a guy's body in a furnace room at the library and lies about it, but no way in hell is letting the kitten fend for itself after it's owner was murdered.
He doesn’t need to. Canon says that he is just genetically big & muscly. Or maybe not canon, but Reacher just explained that to someone in a book I just finished.
So this is my official pitch for a new PBS show, Alan Ritchson Holds Tiny Animals.
Each episode consists of two segments, each segment starts with Alan (and the audience) patiently learning facts about the animal he will hold. He can wear his little glasses so we know he's taking it seriously.
The segment culminates in Alan holding the tiny animal. During pledge time, donors can vote on which tiny animals Alan will hold next season. It'll save PBS.
Because if you release weekly, the talk about the show goes longer than the weekend it would take to binge it.
Respectfully, from the guy who remembers 22 episode seasons that only had three month breaks between them.
I had to look up when S4 was filmed, b/c D.C doesn't look like an insane builder's construction disaster. Not in D.C. apparently, tho filmed in 2025. Fake D.C. backdrops, good idea, given the ugly wreck trump has made of it.
Alan Ritchson needs to play a terrifying piece of garbage, a James Ellroy character...Pete Bondurant, Bud White.
A man that breaks hands with his grip and smiles.
This is only because of my belief that lefty, humanist, compassionate people tend to play the best villains.
Every actor I've ever met that plays evil bastards always turns out to be the most chill person in real life. No idea why.
Looks like a cannibal? Probably played by a teddy bear of a person.
Check out the movie "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare", if you haven't already seen it. He's not exactly a villain, but he plays a character that I wouldn't turn my back to.
So glad watching a big guy with a kitten on a TV show is more important to you than stopping the oligarch billionaire from buying our politicians and treating his workers like slaves. Good to know where your priorities are. #boycottAmazon
I am really hoping the kitten is around all season, and just as a quiet little visual motif where someone's always holding it, or it's hanging out in the frame.
We can go bigger.
Conscripted into a shadow org targeting whistleblowers, Reacher agrees to assist... so long as the cat he's pet-sitting comes to the blacksite.
In a tense moment, Reacher dives off screen to a litter box, exhumes a 5.7, clears the room. Pancake & Reacher share a wry smile.
I took that as an insult, cos I didn't get the reference, I looked it up & it said "flat, foolish or lacking substance".
I thought I had given the ending away & annoyed you then I realised Pancake was the name of that damn kitten.
