Depending on the day and time, I could be down for this! I've been playing and DM'ing D&D off and on for like 40 years. I've also played Champions, Twilight 2000, Rolemaster, Gamma World and the original Star Trek RPG.

I play D&D on Teusday mornings right now with an international group. The DM is from Wales, one in Northern Ireland, one in Australia, one in Canada and one in California. I'd like another group and could share in the DM/GM'ing as well.

That group doesn't use a VTT, it's just old school theater of the mind style on discord video.

That's what I'm aiming for as well, the tt representation stuff can be a nightmare under the best of circumstances, and VTT is not the best of circumstances. I'm looking for a group who wants to get high and have fun gaming without taking the game too seriously. More HarmonQuest than Vox Machina.

When I've run games online, I don't use a VTT host. Old school TOTM, on a discord channel for video chat and pictures, images and some maps on the group chat for the visual elements. My thought, if I want to play a video game, I'll play one, but if I want to role play, I want to role play.

Ooooh, the official registration! 😀 When my teen gaming group decided to move on from D&D, we did so with a vengeance. In addition to the aforementioned we played Top Secret, Champions, Twilight 2000, Villains & Vigilantes, Traveller, and probably others I'm forgetting. Fun times!

Fun times...always. I would never have left D&D back then...never. Still have my og dice circa 1980/81. Can't belive I'm missing the 3. It was used for a drinking game and never made it back...fuck!

We had played D&D for about a year, including all day every day over summer break, and there was no way at the time for TSR to top the Giants modules that we had just played through. We had to seek new thrills.

yeah, it's tough. Coordinating limited free time amongst weed smokers. That alone is 99% of the hassle. ha. There are some pretty neat digital services to support old style D&D role play. Pretty sure they might be free even. Been awhile since i checked 'em out.

I've tried a couple of them; there's one I'm leaning toward now called Owlbear Rodeo, and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't mostly because of the name.
