On June 5, 2009, Teddy Pendergrass had surgery for colon cancer and went home to recover. Weeks later, he was hospitalized with respiratory problems. He died of respiratory failure, seven months after the surgery... at the age of 59. Teddy Pendergrass March 26, 1950 ~ January 13, 2010
