Me too! Frightened the life out of me as I was holding my phone as it happened!
I've got earbuds in and was blasting music at the time whilst also messaging friends ..... 😬
Jumped less than I'd have expected. First day on holiday in Corfu last year, still asleep and alert sounded just like this one, warning of a fire nearby (urban area). We were in a palazzo type building with others above, so waited to see if they'd evacuate. No, Saturday lie-ins were in progress!
And me!
Not a peep here. But we have rain on an almost daily basis... and of course full cloud cover and a brief but badly-timed downpour for the eclipse.
