𝒥𝓊𝓈𝓉 𝒜 𝒮𝒾𝓁𝓁𝓎 ℒ𝒾𝓉𝓉𝓁𝑒 𝒯𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔 Eijirou was gnawing on his lip hard enough to taste blood – which admittedly wasn’t all that hard for his sharp teeth. Katsuki would like it, right? He always said he wasn’t into the cutesy stuff, but his actions usually said otherwise.

But what if this was an exception? What if Katsuki actually hated it? What if this was Eijirou’s anniversary gift and Katsuki was super disappointed with it? He kneaded the package in his hand, staring at it, trying to stop his brain from going in circles.

Was there still time to get something else? No, of course not, Katsuki was already on his way, he couldn’t leave anymore, but maybe it was better to give him nothing than give him this and see him be disgusted with it… The door opened.

“’m home, Shitty Hair.” Katsuki’s gruff voice sent Eijirou into a panic and he threw the packages into a random cupboard, almost faceplanting in his haste to run out and slam the door shut. “Hey Kat, how – how was patrol?” he asked, knowing full well his grin was too wide and he was out of breath.

Katsuki raised his brows at him as he untied his boots. “Patrol was fine,” he grunted. “Mostly quiet, just some small fry.” He sighed as he stood up, cracking his back. “Good, that’s so good, I’m so happy you had a good day! I made dinner!”

God, what had he been thinking, of course Katsuki would have hated it, he would just play it off like dinner was the present, yes, that was the best course of action, much better than that stupid idea.

And the dinner was good, his cooking lessons with Mitsuki really paying off. Katsuki seemed happy enough and Eijirou relaxed, knowing he made the right choice.

Once the leftovers were put away and the dishes cleaned, Katsuki handed Eijirou a small packet. “Happy Anniversary, or whatever,” he mumbled. Eijirou’s heart sank. He hadn’t actually though Katsuki would get him anything, he wasn’t usually one for overt gestures…

Inside the packet was a pair of red earrings. And not just any red earrings. “Th-these… how did you even get these!?” Eijirou gasped. They were a limited edition set of Crimson Riot earrings that had been sold out years before Eijirou could even 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 about piercing his own ears.
