Here is an undetermined arthropod trackway (Cruziana?) from the Middle Mississippian (Lower Carboniferous) Lodgepole Formation from the Little Belt Mountains in Montana.
That looks like it might be an Olivellites/Psammichites. I’m which case the arcs on the surface will be made by planes. Worth considering anyway. Especially in the Carboniferous :-)
