I locked in and made them a full comic page! [Alt desc goes into detail]

This comic page takes place over a year since Athen first started going on these travels outside of his city Horaios. Pushing Eutimios to his last ounce of patience.

Note:

(I love these two, and I just created them at the start of the month 😭
I’m geeking out on them ❤️)

| Eutimios’ feelings on Athen began to grow - conflicting to his annoyance of being his protector -. The acts of kindness, the gifts, the softness in the Prince. These things changed his perception of Athen. He thinks he’s handsome, as royalty his age tends to be. But things he dare not speak aloud to him.

| When his annoyance outgrew his fascination with the Prince, he would no longer tolerate these adventures. Even from him.

| Until that is, Athen - serious than he’s ever seen him - began to confess something. Things he’s suspected but could never be sure.

| When he heard, in the Prince’s voice. So genuine, that he had fallen in love with him. That his reasonings for these travels was to keep him away from battle or from dangerous situations, because he can’t bear to see him go out there. Not knowing if he’d be killed, if he’d ever even know.

| In a sudden click, it all made sense.

| He loved him? The Prince of Horaios loves a soldier such as himself? Well, that isn’t quite accurate. For they were once close friends as colts, there was prior history yet… he never suspected that he liked men. Then again, it was never his business to know his love life.

| The helmet he almost always wore on these adventures, came off. As if he couldn’t face what happens next as a soldier, but that he could only face it as a man, as Athen’s old friend.

| Curly hair loose, long strips hanging down from his head. He looked younger, it’s like the helmet hid his youth and his heart, always able to be stoic. To never waver in emotion, and suddenly all emotions flooded back.
