Like, why can I never open the ticket view (so I can, y'know, scan my ticket at the gate/bus/whatever) without losing all other state? Why is there usually no good way to get an overview for multiple stops at once? Why are there no timetables, and no network diagrams?

Actually I /do/ know why at least #SL dropped the diagrams in a recent update, because I emailed them about it. "Oops, we forgor".

It's like they just wanted to do "give me a route from A to B" and then reluctantly added a ticket view without trying to integrate it at all. Cue the Very Important People "I don't even like money, I just want to throw it away" theme song.

(We can discuss whether public transit /ought/ to have fees-at-time-of-use (and I'd argue no), but if you're going to do it then at least fucking do it right.)
