Will this ruling also extend to speeding offences? Will drivers appealing speeding convictions be allowed to examine the speed gun used?

I’m with you on ensuring commercial agreements don’t impede justice, but this is what metrology is for; running standard tests regularly to make sure the device is operating properly. It’s why we accept petrol pumps aren’t ripping us off (the little testing sticker). /

If the testing was not done or not recorded, then it’s proper that the device cannot be trusted or accepted as evidence regardless of how it’s programmed.
